We spent the last couple
of days in Oz hanging out with Adam, Bella and with our fabulous nieces and
nephew. It’s such a treat to spend time with them and to get to know all their
lovely little ways.
We took little Marly to
the big adventure ball pool which I think was as much fun for me and Bro as it
was for her! She’s such a brave little thing-going on the biggest slides and
totally ignoring all the big boys barging around. She’s such a little
chatterbox too, I think more so than when we were here in February, and is so
good at letting you know what she wants and how she feels about everything. It’s
been so wonderful to get to know her and her mum Aly.
Liberty and Angus have
just been awesome fun from the start. They have an endless energy which is
contagious, and are such bubbly little people. They are extremely engaging and
get on with each other wonderfully. We were flying late on Saturday night so in
the morning we had pancakes (Adam’s speciality) then we all went to St Kilda’s
to the adventure park followed by a game of impromptu basketball in Angus’
school playground. It was Bro, Angus and Bella vs Liberty, Adam and me….there
were injuries galore (bent fingers, a ball in the nose, a stick in the foot, a
fist in the jaw etc etc…we were taking this thing seriously) and they
absolutely kicked our bums! It was great fun though…until an hour later when
none of the adults could move and are now riddled with blisters! No-one can say
the Leas aren’t competitive!!
We really have felt so
incredibly lucky to have been able to spend this time with all these wonderful
people, and despite knowing that we have fun adventures ahead, we’re
desperately sad to leave.
So THANK YOU THANK YOU
THANK YOU you wonderful things for letting us barge into your lives, for giving
up so much time to show us a little piece of this marvellous country and for
making us feel so incredibly welcome.
Until next time! Xxxxx
