Wilsons Promontory National Park

Bro and I decided to take a little mini break out of the city for a couple of days to see some of the countryside, and Bella recommended Wilsons Prom which is a National Park about a 2 hour drive out of Melbourne along the coast. So we borrowed Adam's car and had a wonderful two days at the coast breathing in the sea air and basking in the Autumn sunshine.

This area is incredibly beautiful...I might even go as far as saying that it was New Zealand-esque in terms of how stunning it was. We went on loads of shortish walks, some on headlands, some on beaches, some through mangroves and some in woodlands. All of it stunning.

We also saw our first Wombats!!! They're SO CUTE!!! They look like little bears and are totally unfazed by us. We also saw emus, a snake and loads of kangaroos and wallabies...it was like stepping into a zoo there were so many.

We stayed in the world's cutest YHA. It only sleeps 10 people and was basically a cute little cottage, and we were even given our own double room...Bliss! Although I think it was the coldest night of my life!!

Awesome recommendation Mrs Lea, and I would totally recommend this to anyone else visiting Melbourne!
